Springs team members make a habit of following opportunity and taking on new challenges. Eagerness to use unique talents in different capacities, and in different parts of the country make our highly skilled property managers models for the rest of the company.
Continental Properties is happy to announce the transfer of Lisa Schockemoehl to Springs at South Broadway.
We are excited to share yet another growth opportunity for a Springs team member! Sandy Parent started at Springs at Palma Sola in 2010 as a Leasing Associate. In 2011 she was asked to float, supporting supporting all of our Florida communities. In 2012 she was promoted to Assistant Property Manager for Springs at Palma Sola, and in 2014 she took the driver's seat with her promotion to Property Manager. Under her steady leadership, that community has met its financial goals and been named Springs Apartments “Property of the Year".
Melissa Barnes recently joined Continental's Home Office team as the Multifamily Training Coordinator. She will work closely with our Springs team members and assist in facilitating a variety of activities associated with training and development.
Because we are growing in Texas we have a lot of moving parts! I would like to announce two new transfers and a promotion!
We are excited to announce that after leading two very successful lease ups, Springs at Tech Ridge and Springs at Essex Farms, Jan Rayurn has moved to another lease up. Springs at River Chase in Covington, LA is Jan's new home and third lease up in her 3 ½ years with Continental.
The team at Springs at Braden River had a little fun with one of the longest tenured Springs employees last week - they put an eviction notice on his office door. He was "evicted" because he has moved to our newest community in the Bradenton/Sarasota market, Springs at Bee Ridge.
I am excited to announce three changes to our Kentucky and Ohio property management teams. Jessica Armstrong has moved to our new lease up, Springs at Liberty Township, near Cincinnati, Ohio. Jessica has been with Continental for 5 years. She started at Springs at Live Oak in the San Antonio area, then moved her family to West Des Moines, Iowa to finish up the lease up of Springs at Jordan Creek. In December 2013 she moved to Lexington, Kentucky to start up Springs at Winchester Road, and achieved stabilization with great success! In November she was honored as Continental Properties' 2015 Rich Bell Award winner, which recognizes the team member who most embodies Continental's core values. Since mid-2015 she has spent time helping at several Springs communities, most frequently at Springs at Fremaux Town Center in Slidell, Louisiana.
I would like to congratulate Lashana Brown on her move from Springs at Braden River in Bradenton, Florida to our new community in Sarasota, Springs at Bee Ridge. Lashana started with Continental Properties in February, 2015. She originally hails from Michigan, where she started her career. She has worked in traditional housing, student housing and even mobile homes. For the last few months she capably shepherded Springs at Memorial in Oklahoma City, including training a new Property Manager. Her experience with Continental, and managing a lease-up in a previous job, make her a perfect fit for Springs at Bee Ridge.
