Continental Properties Raises $70,000 in 2022 to be Donated to Charitable Partners

At Continental Properties, our team members are committed to giving back to the communities we serve through charitable partnerships across the country, including through our Continental Cares program. Our Continental Cares committee was formed in the spring of 2018 to identify charitable opportunities that closely align with Continental’s core values, beliefs, and work ethic. In 2022, Continental partnered with four charitable organizations: Revitalize Milwaukee, Wisconsin Honor Flight, Ronald McDonald House, and K9s for Warriors. We are excited to share that our team raised over $70,000 in 2022 to be donated to our charitable partners. 

Revitalize Milwaukee is the largest provider of home repairs to eligible homeowners in Southeast Wisconsin. In 2022, Continental sponsored two homes at the annual Revitalize MKE Block Build, a weekend-long event dedicated to refurbishing homes in vulnerable neighborhoods in Milwaukee and Waukesha County. Our team members spent the weekend providing necessary modifications to ensure our sponsored homeowner and her family could continue to live in their homes safely. We are proud to support Revitalize Milwaukee and all they do to restore communities for vulnerable and low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.  

Wisconsin Honor Flight provides United States war veterans an all-expense-paid trip to visit Washington D.C. to view their memorials and experience a day full of honor and thanks for their service to our country. For the second year in a row, Continental will provide Wisconsin veterans the opportunity to experience an Honor Flight this spring.  

Ronald McDonald House is dedicated to providing a place to stay for families whose children are receiving medical care in Milwaukee. Continental’s donations to the Ronald McDonald House will fund their building expansion project as well as meals, snacks, and overnight stays for families in need. In addition, Continental partnered with the Milwaukee Admirals hockey team again for their 2022-2023 season. For every assist the Admirals make this season, Continental Cares will donate $10 to the Ronald McDonald House and the Admirals will match our donation. A grand total contribution will be provided to Ronald McDonald House this spring. Together, we raised over $7,000 for Ronald McDonald House in 2022 as a result of this fun program!  

In 2022, Continental joined forces with a new charitable partner, K9s for Warriors, an organization that rescues and trains shelter dogs to be paired as service dogs for warriors with service-connected post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma. The program's mission is to help end veteran suicide and help military veterans who fought for our freedom live a life of dignity and independence. We are honored to support the nation's largest provider of trained service dogs to military veterans and help rescue dogs find a forever home.  

Our Continental Cares committee hosted several fundraising and volunteer opportunities throughout the year for our team members. Events included a dunk tank and pie throwing contest, a March Madness bracket competition, and our 3rd annual golf outing. Thank you to the Continental Cares committee for their hard work and dedication to our charitable partners, and thank you to our team members for their volunteer hours and donations to our communities. We look forward to continuing our charitable partnerships and giving back to our local communities in 2023.
