On December 19th, 2018, Continental purchased 25 acres of land in Port Orange, FL to develop the Springs at Port Orange. The addition of Springs at Port Orange brings our total Florida apartment portfolio to 13 total communities, with Continental currently owning nine. Our market research and development teams are focused on continuing to leverage our success in Florida by finding new apartment development opportunities.

Each year the Southwest Florida Apartment Association (SWFAA) holds an award night for apartment owners, management companies, and team members. In total, 20 multifamily companies were represented at the event, with countless team members from an array of companies nominated for individual awards. Municipal requirements brought out our Best and Brightest mantra that had our teams back to the drawing board to redesign our prototypical buildings to incorporate urban design elements, including a flat roof and 42 lofted units into our development.
