MILWAUKEE, Wis. — On October 27, Continental Properties held its 24th annual State of the Company (SOC) event at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Over 180 team members from across the country attended the event in person, and 300 members joined the live stream to hear notable accomplishments over the past year and discuss strategies for the future.

Jim Schloemer (CEO) and Dan Minahan (President) started the day by introducing this year's SOC theme - Becoming Infinitely Sustainable. Next, company officers shared metrics to measure the company’s performance against becoming infinitely sustainable in accordance with our three strategic pillars – employee experience, customer experience, and profitability - and hosted a live Q&A panel discussion.

Later in the afternoon, the senior leadership team introduced some new interdepartmental KPIs, and team members provided progress updates on each of Continental's four strategic initiatives: Data-Driven, Customer Centric, Evolving the Culture, and the Production Model.

In a moment that has become highly anticipated, Continental presented its 2022 Rich Bell Award, which honors the team member who most embodies the leadership and teamwork characteristics of Rich Bell, one of the three founders of Continental Properties. This year’s winner was Eddie Bailey, Maintenance Supervisor at Springs at Hamburg. The company also presented its service awards, recognizing team members who have achieved two, five, ten, fifteen, and twenty-five years of working at Continental. “It was a great day for Continental and our people, as we discussed some of the immediate challenges to our business as well as how the three pillars of our long-term strategy  - the Employee Experience, Customer Experience, and Financial Profitability – would help us become infinitely sustainable and serve to guide our actions over both the long and immediate term," said Joe Bagby, Chief Customer Experience Officer.

The day concluded with a social event where team members gathered to celebrate the successes of 2022 and the exciting opportunities to come.
