As the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Jim is responsible for initiating strategic discussions with and between all roles and functions of the organization and for leading strategy formulation that is informed by those discussions. It is his responsibility to grow Continental as a “company of leaders”– in all positions within the company – and provide those leaders with the opportunity and responsibility to express their opinions and ideas, the means for successful decision-making, and the resources to execute on those ideas and decisions.
“The Continental team and culture are the company’s greatest assets and I’m ultimately responsible for maintaining and enhancing our unique culture and for assuring that top talent joins our company and grows with us. Continental fosters debate and encourages challenges to our means and methods; by doing this we assure that we’re constantly improving our performance, inventing new ways of executing our work and discovering new opportunities. We balance this approach with conservative assumptions and sound financial practices in order to maintain our strong financial position and long term success.”
