Continental Properties Breaks Ground on Springs at Abbey Crossings in Pasco County, Florida

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Continental Properties, a leading national developer, owner, and operator of suburban rental housing, announced the groundbreaking of Springs at Abbey Crossings, a 330-home garden-style apartment community located near the southeast quadrant of McKendree Road and State Road 52 in the Wesley Chapel area of Tampa.

Springs at Abbey Crossings is positioned within the 245-acre Abbey Crossings master-planned development, which brings a mix of residential, retail, office, hospitality, and other commercial uses along the growing State Road 52 corridor. The community also offers convenient access to Interstate 75, connecting residents to employment centers and destinations throughout Pasco County and the greater Tampa Bay region.

Springs at Abbey Crossings will feature a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Every home will include smart-home technology, while select residences will feature attached garages and premium views overlooking the community’s pond and surrounding wetland areas. The community will also be fully gated.

Additional outdoor spaces will include open green space, a dog park, and a secondary grilling and seating area. EV charging spaces will also be available on site.

The surrounding area is supported by a diverse employment base, including AdventHealth and Target, with new healthcare investment from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Orlando Health adding to the region’s growth.

Pre-leasing is expected to begin in spring 2027, with the community clubhouse anticipated for completion in August 2027 and the first residential building in September 2027.
