Second Annual Challenge Meetings

Meetings_1.jpgOn June 14th and 15th, all home office employees and leadership from Continental’s multifamily operations group met with Continental’s senior leadership team to identify and discuss a variety of topics associated with the attainment of Continental’s short-term and long-term goals. These meetings were initially conducted in the summer of 2015 and were appropriately titled, “Challenge Meetings”. Based on the success of the 2015 Challenge Meetings, the decision was made to repeat these sessions again in 2016.

“These discussions, and the opportunity to devote our organization’s full attention to the consideration of critical issues over the past two days, yields tremendous benefits,” cites Josh Gunn, Chief Legal Officer and Vice President – Human Resources. “Most companies wouldn’t take the time to attend to something like this, but these sessions really make clear how important everyone’s views are in understanding the challenges to achieving our goals.”

The timing of the Challenge Meetings is not coincidental, as they precede the officers’ Strategic Planning Retreat that occurs each year in August. Information obtained during the Challenge Meetings is used to inform the discussions that occur at the officers’ Strategic Planning Retreat.
