James H. Schloemer

Jim Schloemer has been active in real estate development and investment since 1977. He co-founded Continental Properties in 1979 and has been its senior officer since that time, guiding Continental to its current place as a major presence in the real estate development industry. Under Jim’s leadership, Continental has diversified from retail into multifamily and hospitality development.

Education
Jim attended the University of Chicago where he received an MBA with a concentration in finance, and Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

Daniel J. Minahan
President & Chief Operating Officer

Professional
Dan joined Continental Properties in 1996 as its Chief Operating Officer and became its President in 2001. Prior to joining Continental Properties, he was an attorney at the Milwaukee law firm of Davis & Kuelthau and served as a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Board of Directors. His legal career concentrated in real estate, corporate and tax law. Dan is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the State Bar of Wisconsin and is a member of the Board of Advisors for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Real Estate.

Education
Dan attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received a business degree from the School of Real Estate. He received his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University and his Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University.

Gerard L. Severson
Vice Chairman & President of Retail Group

Professional
Gerry entered the real estate development field in 1974 as an independent commercial real estate broker with Layman-Todd Realty in Mankato, Minnesota. Prior to his tenure with Continental Properties, Gerry had been responsible for leasing, marketing, management, and development of real estate for the Balcor-American Express Company in Skokie, Illinois, Bramlea, Ltd. at the US office in Houston, Texas, and Centres, Inc. of Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Gerry joined Continental Properties in 1990 as Executive Vice President. His responsibilities included development, leasing, managing, and marketing properties. He now serves as Vice Chairman and President of Continental’s Retail Group and oversees the company’s retail development activities and its retail dealmakers.

Education
Gerry graduated from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota where he received a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Administration.

Thomas J. Keenan
Executive Vice President of Business Development & Chief Financial Officer

Professional
Prior to joining Continental Properties in 1993, Tom held positions as the Director of Financial Services for the Gehl Company and Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for Allis-Chalmers Credit Corporation. In his current role as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Chief Financial Officer, Tom is responsible for investor relations, property disposition analysis and profitability analysis of Continental’s numerous retail, residential, and hospitality development projects as well as financial reporting and cash management.

Education
Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College in Winona, Minnesota and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
