Next Stop, Illinois!

With food in our bellies firing our motivation, we cross the state line and head to our next destination, North Aurora, IL. We enjoy the trails through a long string of three wood preserves before picking up the pace to Springs at Orchard Road. Along the way we had many Aurora natives compare us to George Hood. “Who is that?” you might ask. We finally hit our endpoint of this leg and meet three veterans from Aurora that received the Presidential Medal of Honor, the Nation’s highest civilian honor, for their service in World War II and Vietnam. We are humbled to hear their stories and it solidifies we chose a great charity to partner with, the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

We thought that, even if it is not heavy exercise, some movement would be good for our health. Now don't get the wrong idea - it is not that we are chained to our desks! We have a wonderful work environment, but there are days when it seems we get into a project, or attack our to-do list with vigor, and at the end of the day we realize we did not budge from our chairs much at all.
